Summer Camps and Festivals

Below are organizations that the York Youth Symphony Orchestra recommends.

Please considering the organizations below when planning your summer experiences.

"The Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) features principal players and other members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and regularly includes some 250 students from throughout the U.S. and around the world. Participants choose one of six program options: Orchestra, Solo Performance, College Audition Preparation, Chamber Music Intensive, Piano, or Music Theatre & Opera. All programs are open to musicians ages 11 –19. There is a separate program, Music House, for college students and young professionals. All program options include: private lessons, master classes and faculty recitals with members of The Philadelphia Orchestra; solo performance opportunities; concerto competitions; an optional chamber music program; daily private practice; daily ensemble rehearsals; daily music course options including sight-reading, ear training, music history, theory, composition, or conducting; and festival-ending grand finales. Students may attend PIMF at Bryn Mawr College for one, two, three, or four weeks."
